Important Shipping Delay Update
Last updated: 21 September 2026
We would like to keep our customers informed about current disruptions affecting international sea freight from China to Australia and the potential impact on some Lux Casa orders.
Recent severe weather events and recurring typhoon activity across China’s eastern coastline have disrupted operations at several major ports. Combined with seasonal shipping volumes and existing port congestion, these conditions have resulted in vessel backlogs, extended berthing times, revised sailing schedules and, in some cases, cargo being moved to a later vessel.
Industry logistics advisories have reported ongoing congestion and schedule disruption at major Chinese ports, including Shanghai, Ningbo and Qingdao. Further information is available in the APL Logistics Asia Port Congestion Advisory .
Based on current shipping and logistics updates, some Lux Casa orders that are currently in production, awaiting shipment or already in transit may experience an additional delay of approximately 1–3 weeks (7–21 days) beyond the original estimated delivery timeframe.
The extent of the delay may vary depending on the product’s departure port, shipping line, vessel schedule, customs clearance and final destination in Australia. As weather and port conditions remain subject to change, all delivery dates should be regarded as estimates until the shipment has arrived and been released in Australia.
This notice does not mean that every order will be delayed. Products already held in our Sydney warehouse are generally unaffected unless otherwise advised by our team.
Lux Casa is closely monitoring all affected shipments and remains in regular contact with our freight and logistics partners.
If your order is affected by a material schedule change, our team will contact you directly with the most accurate information available. Once your order has arrived in Sydney, cleared the required procedures and is ready for delivery, we will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery and installation date.
We understand the anticipation involved in furnishing your home or completing a project, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this situation may cause.
Please be assured that your order remains a priority, and we will continue working to deliver it as soon as it can be moved safely and reliably.
